We have produced thousands of different pieces with quality and economy our primary considerations. |
New employees are required to attend a rigorous ten to twelve hour orientation program, providing necessary instruction for their particular job position. These programs provide information on the procedures and policies for safety and quality, as well as information about their personnel benefits and programs. Among the many available in-house training programs is a Precision Metalforming Association certificate program to new Power Press Operators and Toolsetters. New Forklift Operators are certified after both classroom and practical training.
Larson is an approved sponsor of a Toolmaker Apprenticeship Program, which is certified with the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries. We also work closely with a Regional Vocational Technical High School Co-op program.
A regular review of current employee responsibilities -- from entry-level positions to those in leadership roles -- identifies training needs, which are satisfied in a variety of ways including in-house training programs, seminars, and college courses. To encourage self-development, a tuition reimbursement program is available.
Ongoing training programs include monthly Total Quality Management Meetings, Safety Training Programs, and Health and Wellness Programs.
The management of the program is initiated and maintained using a versatile training data management software program.
