450-ton Minister PressChuck Cederberg, President, inspects work from our new 450-ton Minster press. In 2001, Larson purchased and installed a complete press line from Minster Machine to expand our heavy stamping and progressive die capabilities. This press is equipped with Minster’s Draw-Link system, which slows the press ram on the down stroke. This enables us to achieve optimum punch contact velocity while still running progressive deep draw tooling at higher production rates. |
Hydraulic Press LineOne of our press line operators inspects a finished cylinder from one of our three deep draw press lines. The cylinder is used for a certified pressure vessel assembly. This hydraulic press line consists of 3 double action presses, 2 single action presses, a spray wash line and complete transfer automation. This press line was conceived, installed, tooled, programmed and integrated by the Engineering staff at Larson, and is capable of producing shells up to 18” long. For more details, see our Case History. |
Progressive DiesLock washers convey out from a progressive die running at 50 parts per minute. Larson’s progressive dies run in presses from 22 to 300 tons, and bed sizes from 36 to 96 inch long, giving us some of the largest capacity for progressive die work in our area. |
